Microsoft System Center Operations Manager

Microsoft System Center Operations Manager affords you a comprehensive, overall view of the health of your IT environment. By tracking thousands of event and performance monitors across hundreds of operating systems and applications, it ultimately allows you to automate routine, redundant tasks to increase efficiency and enable greater control of your IT environment.

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager

Configuration Manager drives IT productivity and efficiency by reducing manual tasks and enabling you to focus on high-value projects, maximize hardware and software investments, and empower end-user productivity with the right software at the right time. Configuration Manager contributes to a more effective IT department by enabling secure and scalable operating system and application deployment and desired configuration management, enhancing system security and providing comprehensive asset management of servers, desktops and mobile devices.

Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager

Data Protection Manager optimizes and speeds disk-based backup and recovery, delivers consistent data protection and increases your IT organization’s operational efficiencies. Data Protection Manager also supports near-continuous data protection with centralized backup of branch offices and backup enhancements within the data center. Help lower the total cost of your data-protection environment by consolidating backup efforts at the data center, empowering end users to perform their own recoveries, implementing out-of-the-box reporting and monitoring functionality.

Microsoft System Center Essentials

Microsoft System Center Essentials is a proactive, unified management solution that enables IT professionals in midsize organizations to more efficiently secure, update, monitor and troubleshoot their IT environments. System Center Essentials provides a unified solution to help optimize a broad set of tasks across the entire IT environment, while offering a single console from which one can view and manage all of the servers, clients, hardware, software and IT services.

Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services

Terminal Services (TS), one of the core virtualization technologies available in Windows Server 2008, makes it possible to run an application in one location but have it be controlled in another—presentation virtualization. With Terminal Services presentation virtualization, you can install and manage applications on centralized servers in the data center; screen images are delivered to the users, and the users' client machines, in turn, send keystrokes and mouse movements back to the server. When using Terminal Services, administrators can present users with the individual applications and data they require to complete their task, or the whole remote desktop. From a user perspective, these applications are integrated seamlessly—looking, feeling and behaving like local applications.

Application Virtualization

Application virtualization separates the application configuration layer from the OS. It enables applications to run on clients – including desktops, servers and laptops – without being installed, and while being administered from a central location. This has huge implications for everything from patch and upgrade management to deploying and terminating applications.

Microsoft Application Virtualization transforms applications into centrally-managed virtual services that are never installed and don’t conflict with other applications. It streams applications on-demand to desktops, servers and laptops.

Server Virtualization

Using System Center Virtual Machine Manager, you can automatically determine which servers are the best candidates for virtualization, convert them to virtual machines and provision them to the right hosts in minutes, rather than the weeks or months it takes to procure and configure physical servers manually. With Server Virtualization, you can eliminate underutilized physical servers. With Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V™ you will be able to increase server infrastructure flexibility and security while saving time and reducing costs, also with guest OS support for SUSE and Red Hat Linux.
